British Music Live On US TV – Gomez, James Blake & Joss Stone

Catch up with the live British performances that were on US TV last week. Indie rock band Gomez have been in town and they stopped by The Late Show With David Letterman to perform a track from their new album Whatever’s On Your Mind. The band have been on a North American tour but had to cancel most of the shows due to singer Ben Ottewell losing his voice. Luckily they made it onto Letterman before this happened.

Hot on the music scene, electro dubstepper James Blake stopped by Jimmy Fallon to perform his track The Wilhelm Scream. Blake will be back over in the states in September as he kicks off a tour starting with Austin City Limits on the 16th.

And lastly, singer Joss Stone was on Jay Leno and Craig Ferguson. The singer has been in the news recently on a few accounts. Most shockingly when she was the targeted victim of an attempted kidnap and murder plot! The two men responsible were both caught before hand and no harm came to Stone, however this didn’t stop Joss from being on form to perform with producer Dave Stewart on the US talk shows.
She has also been in the news with her collaboration with Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart and company with the release of their debut single and album as the supergroup SuperHeavy.
