Phil Collins To No Longer Record In The Stu-Stu-Studio !

He taken a bit of a bad rap towards the end of his career, but love him or hate him I felt it was sad news when Phil Collins announced his retirement from the music industry yesterday. I mean who has not sung in their car to classic tunes like “Two Hearts” and “Easy Lover” or slow danced at a wedding to a “Groovy Kind of Love”? (come on admit it we’ve all done it !!).

Collins was forced to announce his retirement due to ill health having suffered from a number of issues in recent years including tinnitus, a dislocated vertebra and nerve damage all of which had made it nearly impossible to play his beloved drums.

Speaking to FHM magazine he actually apologizes for his success saying “I’m sorry that it was all so successful. I honestly didn’t mean it to happen like that. It’s hardly surprising that people grew to hate me,” adding “”I don’t think anyone’s going to miss me. I’m much happier just to write myself out of the script entirely”

Don’t be so harsh on yourself Phil, people will be singing to your songs for years to come. Lets all give Buster a good send off, turn up your speakers and (secretly!) dance away to the classic track below.
