British music giants Radiohead have been keeping themselves very busy lately. With all the band members doing other projects such as Thom Yorke and his Atoms For Peace band, Phil Selway’s solo album and now Radiohead’s new record which is out this weekend. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood has also found some spare time and has signed on to write a film score for the movie We Need To Talk About Kevin.
Directed by Lynne Ramsey and starring Tilda Swinton and John C Reilly, the film is an adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s 2003 novel and is scheduled for release in the UK on September 2nd.
Greenwood is no stranger to writing film scores however, as he recently completed the score for Norwegian Wood, which is out in the UK on March 11th. Along with this he also worked on the music to the 2003 film Bodysong and composed the music for the Oscar-winning movie There Will Be Blood, in 2007.
