The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader is number one in the US box office takings charts for the weekend ending 12th December. Dawn Treader finished the weekend having taken a fairly disappointing $24.5m/15.5m which is small change compared to the $125m/£78m Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 took in its first weekend just a few weeks ago. Harry Potter in fact, still comes in at a respectable third place having taken $8.5m/£5.39 over the weekend.
