Shooting Stars was a British television comedy panel game than has been on and off UK TV screens for over 15 years. Broadcast on BBC Two from 27 December 1993 to 22 December 1997 and then on BBC Choice from 13 January 2002 to 22 December 2002. Created and hosted by double-act Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, it uses the panel show format as a vehicle for their uniquely surreal, silly and inventive style of humour. The panel was alwys made up with celebrities and had celebrity captains Mark Lamarr and Ulrika Jonsso. A 15th Anniversary Special, along with a mockumentary, was broadcast on 30 December 2008 on BBC Two. A sixth series began on 26 August 2009, concluding in September that same year,whilst the current seventh series began on BBC Two on 13 July 2010.
