This Weeks British TV Highlights (10/17)

In this feature we will aim to provide you with all of the weeks British TV highlights we think is worth watching and when. If you notice anything we miss that you think is worth mentioning please contact us and let us know. We’ll be sure to add it to the highlights section.

The week BBC America has a number of great shows worth catching:
Top Gear; the men who love to talk cars, cars, cars and their whitty banter is always worth a watch whether you love cars or not. Mondays at 9/8C

Law & Order: UK; has received good reviews, although we’ve heard from some that its not as good as the original American series. But we think its worth a look. Let us know what you think. Fridays 9/8C

Luther; This new series starring The Wires Idris Elba premiere’s this week on BBC America. We’ve heard great things about this show so far and if Elbas past roles are anything to go by this one should be nothing short of great. Below is a trailer from the BBC to give you an glimpse of what the show is all about. Premiere’s October 17th 10/9C

Sherlock; Another great show premiere’s this week on PBS. Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbach) is about the modern day Sherlock Holmes (Blackberry and all!). Sherlock is a highly intelligent scientist who enjoys helping the police solve crimes. Martin Freeman of The Office and Love Actually fame stars as Dr. Watson an army medic just back from Afghanistan. The first of three 90 minute episodes begin Sunday October 24th at 9/8C

Wallander Series 2; The detective series starring acclaimed actor Kenneth Branagh begins its new series on October 17th at 9/8C
